Do I have to attend a course in order to take any exam?
Generally speaking, you do not have to attend a course to take any exam. But we suggest you attend the courses to refresh your knowledge. This way you have a better chance of passing the exams.
Is there only a major exam for a course or are there also partial exams?
There are both. If you have already gained knowledge about a course, lets say through self-study or through hands-on experience, and just want to achieve a certificate, you can take a major exam and if successful, you will receive the certificate you want. But if you are new to a course and you want to learn the content first, we suggest you take part in partial exams that are offered after certain learning goals have been achieved. You will receive the certificate automatically after you have successfully passed all partial exams.
Is there a limit for the time between the partial exams?
Yes, there are some limitation. Normally the time between the partial examinations should not be longer than a month. If the student needs longer than a month to pass the next partial exam, the student must renew the partial exam or ultimately pass a major exam in order to receive the certificate. An exception to this rule may be made by the course manager due to complex content.
How do I know which courses to take to pass a certain exam?
The course manager will tel you which courses you should take in order to be able to take part in a partial or major exam.
